(Sorry this is going to be a little long, this is not a rant, this is not me asking for advice, this is just me sharing)
My daughter's biological father has never wanted to be in the picture, has a violent past with me and himself, in general is psychotic and he's never made an attempt to see her without being forced by the courts or his mom pulling him by the ear like a little kid (my daughter is 2 and he's only seen her 4 times for 2 hours each time). there is a guy I met at work a month before I got pregnant that I was too shy to admit my feelings to and he this past year he admitted to me he loved me and he wished he didn't have to move out of state and if he knew my situation sooner he would have helped me by having me move away with him, sadly I haven't physically seen him since 2012 but he's active in my daughter's life, he asks how she's doing, gives advice on how to handle my stress, wishes he could be here or us there to watch her grow in person rather than video and pics. He's everything I've wanted for my daughter to have as a father. He had a stroke a few months ago and I was scared because I almost lost him and if I did I wouldn't have even known if it wasn't for him asking his mom to send me a message. It's a long distance relationship and we are close to our one year anniversary and lately we've been talking and trying to plan more on me and my daughter going to visit him in Kansas, he was going to come back to Cali to visit but he had his stroke. He even says that he has a room ready just for my daughter and it would be ready for us to move into if we decide we want to move in with him in the future. We've talked about wanting a brother or sister for my daughter once we are settled in and get married, he may only be part of my daughter's life through the phone and Facebook but she knows him as daddy and he loves her as if she was his own and we both love him :) with all the bad experiences single mothers have with finding the right father figure for their child(ren) this proves to me at least that there are still good guys here in the world and I'm lucky to have someone so amazing step up

Move your ass to Kansas with him!!! He's been there for you and your daughter. That's the man you need to be with.. If her bio father doesn't want part of her life. Screw him. He's missing out!!!

Lol believe me I'm working on moving with him but money is still an issue. Also if I move I have to tell my daughter's bio dad where we're moving to, however since we haven't seen/heard from him since July once July comes back around if it stays like this with no communication I can file for abandonment and hopefully terminate all his rights so we can move without having to keep him informed where we're going. I have sole custody but he has supervised visitations but oh darn he doesn't want them either fingers crossed he keeps his distance. I just started one of my 2 jobs a few weeks ago and still waiting on a date for orientation for my second job. The first trip my daughter and I make to Kansas will be a visit so he and I can plan out the moving process easier
