I'm feeling extra emotional today and people are getting on my last nerve and I just need someone to vent to. I have an 8 year old from a previous relationship (his biological dad has not been involved at all since he was 5 months old). My husband and I have been together ever since my son was a year old and he is the only father my son ahas ever truly known. Here's my issue. Now that my dear husband and I are pregnant people keep implying that he MUST want a baby boy so he will "finally have a son of his own." It really just has been bouncing between the verge of tears because it hurts my feelings and anger because I find it rude as hell. He has a son so WTF!? Anyways thanks for reading and if you have any suggestions for how to handle this if it happens again it would be much appreciated.

aw that's not right of them to say...they don't understand the bond he has with your (and his) son. does he think of your son as his own ? Are you team girl this time around? I'm happy I'm having a bby girl :)

Just tell them that he's your sons father already so he'll be just as happy with a girl. That's truly sad, and if your son heard that, that would really hurt him too, I can't believe people would say that!

@andreaooragnak, He has been amazing with my son since day one. He has always treated him as his own, they're best buds and he wouldn't have it any other way. And we are definitely team girl but we'll be happy either way :)

@coraanne, thank you for the advice I will try that if it happens again. I'm just blown away by all the nasty things people have already said to me about my pregnancy.
