Larger people and people with family history are more at risk for it but really it can happen to anyone I had 0 risk factors and still got it. It sucks if you get a dietician they will help you make a diet plan, if I can find my papers I'll take a picture of what kinda stuff they want you to eat but portions will differ for everyone. I cried a lot finding out about it but it goes away after pregnancy
@arijane316, @lilyandkaidynsmommy im all emotional now and really worried cause I never had it until now...could it be cause I'm overweight..I'm so emotional
I can give you advice on how to manage it. my dad has to watch his blood sugar so his diabetes doesn't come back and I can tell you what he does to keep it under control
Gestational diabetes? They should schedule an appointment with a dietician for you who will explain everything you need to do and give you a script for your meter and lancets (needles) and insulin if you need it. I had 2 pregnancies with GD so I can kinda help you out
