does postpartum depression ever get easier? i know i have it and tried getting help from my obgyn and she told me to talk to my daughters doctors so I did and my mom went with cause it was my daughters first set of shots. my mom doesnt believe in postpartum depression so when i said something to her doctor my mom said it was just stress and the doctor listened to her instead of me. I'm looking for a new doctor currently because its gotten to the point that i feel like harming myself and have thought about suicide a couple times but i can usually talk myself out of it cause i think about my daughter growing up without a mom and how heartbreaking that is.

yeah I can see the irritation, I don't think I would be able to do it either.. it's not about what she thinks it's about you & baby & YOUR concerns. Its crazy that your doc didn't explain that to her or make it appoint to ask YOU & listen to you.. good move on looking for a new Dr & 86ing mom from tagging along! Good for you love @juliabug

If nobody else is willing to help, you do what you have to for you and your baby girl. Look up local counseling groups, anything. I wouldn't want you to harm yourself. It is hard, but with the right help, it gets easier. I promise. ❤️

Yes. You need a good support system Hun. Don't listen to anybody who's saying you're making it up. Find a new doctor who's willing to help. My doctor listened to me and found counselors for me and places to get help. And anti depressants were also an option. I opted out of that because I don't like medications. But you need help, not people telling you PPD isn't a thing.

it is real hun, my husband may think the same way as your mom.. it doesn't make you a bad person or mother.. you are aware of it & are seeking help & that is the best thing you can do for yourself & your little one. Your mom may not be the best person to go with you to the appointments depending on the status of the appointment! Hang in there! you can do it! don't resent yourself in the end either, more moms go through it than we know! Good Vibes & Love being sent your way sweety!❤❤❤
