I am O negative and my husband is a eother positive or negative I don't rememebr but my baby ended up coming out with O positive blood, I was very happy that I tooo that shot. Never heard of that shit and having to take it til I got pregnant tho.

Ok thru may have thought you're body was trying to reject the baby. Did they ask about the fathers blood type? If not, guess they just gave it to you to cover bases.

All it does is make sure your body doesn't try to 'fight off' the baby if there is a chance the baby has a different blood type. So it depends on what blood type the father has as well.

Why the heck did the ER give it to you and not your OB?

@mommabird, @bonez @evita_planning @kdsmith I got it tonight at the er and they didn't really explain anything to me it was something that kinda just happened. it was kinda scary.

Yes I had it with my last pregnancy and will have to have it again. Didn't notice any side effects or anything. Will be sore at the site if you don't massage it right after with a hot compress (hot water on a paper towel).

After my miscarriage I found out I was ab negative blood type so she had to give me that shot

I'm RH neg had the shot with my first. and prob have to with this one too I'm guessing.
