Hello Mommies!! First time mom here.❤ Quick question about which foods to avoid? I've been avoiding seafood as much as possible..
@alyen2, @nickysmom89 I do have OVIA it's great but I really wanna hear from mommies here lol! thank you.. and @mom13 I know, made me hungry as well.. Lunch time!!!
my sister ate sushi throughout her whole pregnancy and she and her son were and are fine. my doctor told me when it comes to tuna and shellfish (lobster, crab, etc) 5 oz a week at the most. though I've eaten more than that in one sitting and baby and i are still doing just fine
thats okay usually you dont have to tag the person who posted it just the person in the comments your trying to talk to @bubblebeck
If you have the Ovia pregnancy app it has a feature that gives you specific things to avoid, it's been a lifesaver. It's called "food safety lookup"
Download the Ovia pregnancy app. It has a good food lookup tool.
I have had lobster as well thats safe and now im getting hungry lol @bubblebeck thanks
I'm sorry @mom13 ....I meant to tag @seven lol!
@bubblebeck, @xeraphim1221 thank you so much!! I'll keep that in mind. :)
some fish is okay but never raw I know I have had some but i dont eat much seafood to start with I know i have had shrimp and salmon other then that not to positive whats safe and not
Hello!! Some seafood is good for you in moderation. Mostly predator fish are not safe.
Just raw fish and high mercury. Talapia and salmon and it think shellfish are okay, even beneficial. No deli meat unless it is heated to steaming first. Try to avoid foods really high in sodium and fat, like ramen. Its okay in moderation but try not to eat it every day. Make sure your meet is always fully cooked or well done. No cookie dough or anything with raw eggs but that's kind of a given.
@mom13, hi!! hmm seafood really.. I really miss having fish most days of the week.
Welcome to the community and congrats, what foods are you wondering about?
