I'm going thru the same thing , I'm unemployed and can't work even if I wanted to but since I live with my mom and am only 20 they won't give me food stamps and I really need them I haven't had a real meal in almost a week I'm only able to scrape enough to together to not starve

I'm 19 &this; is sooo aggravating and discouraging. How can they not give a PREGNANT woman food stamps? Our age shouldn't matter. @brandylemonds15

Yes my sister and i both have WIC(she has a 2yr old& they live with us also) but that stuff we get off of there only lasts so long (3other people living here beside me her and her child) and we can only get certain stuff.

Right I got it last year when I had my miscarriage but now there saying my mom had to apply for me but every time my mom applies they tell her she makes to much she only makes $12 an hour and she's a single mother

have you ladies apply for WIC, they give food to mommies and infants/babies, its a big help not much but something!

They're "new rule" is not even reasonable. If 18 is the legal age then where the heck does 23 come in or make a difference. I'm just so... Lorrrrd let us pray.

Yeah I applied for wic I'm just waiting to receive my card @1130nnne and I think it's only 23 if you live with a parent ask your parents to apply if they need the help maybe you can get them but it really is unreasonable I've been on my own since I was 18 and where I'm from that's normally when kids leave home
