Got my down syndrome testing result , 1 in 27,799 thats okay right?!

Means there's still a risk but it's very low :) I got the same result :)

I didn't get it done to see if my baby had downs or not...I didn't even want it done but ended up having it done :) The result would'nt have mattered to me the slightest :)

Generally older mothers are at more risk of having a baby with downs :)

We didnt even get asked they just done it ! We wasent going to have it done either we already discussed the possibility and like you said it doesn't matter the slightest x

Wow really? Your midwife didn't ask you about combined screening? Mine did...I was tired on the day I saw her and she was asking me all these questions..I just said yes...then after I realised what she had asked me. Couldn't be bothered to ask her to change the answer lol! 😂 x

They never mentioned nothing , bad really , when i got the scan pictures they just said they will call you in 2 to 3 days if anything high risk with the down syndrome test shows up i was like ohh okay... Aha x

older women are at higher risk. my result was less than 1 in 10,000 which is a brilliant result considering I am 40. you risk factor is extremely low and every result will give you a risk ratio. everyone is at risk of genetic disorders but your chances are next to none. congratulations ☺
