Question: So I plan on taking my daughter out of the state. We are flying. Her father is not going and he is on her birth certificate AND she has HIS last name, not mine. Do I need anything other than her birth certificate to travel with her ?

@mommaquil, if you're just travelling to another state all you need is the birth certificate but if you were travelling out of the country you would need a notarized letter by the baby's father saying that he knows where y'all are going and is ok with it
loll oh okay.... might sound dumb but.... how in the world would they know my daughter is the child I'm traveling with based on a birth certificate anyways. They basically just taking my word for it. @juliabug
There should be no problem than! The only time its a problem is if the the other doesn't know and you're trying to 'run away' with the child. lol

Yeah he knows, he's nervous lol but other than that he's okay. We're together and he's completely involved in her life.
I dont think you do. does the father know and is he okay with it? do you guys have split custody, 50/50?
