so my baby's father has made it clear that he's a deadbeat & probably won't want anything to do with neither me or his son, but his mom, dad & siblings say they want to be by my side through the whole thing.
I just wanted some advice on this & maybe some opinions on what yall would do in a situation like this.
also on idk if I wanna put my son's last name as mine or his dad's, or maybe hyphenate it, I know his dad's a jerk, but I feel as if my son deserves it? idk... opinions?

@javiersmom, same thing happened to me. except I actually have our son his dad's full name even after he left me while I was pregnant and again a week after I had him. My son has met his dad 2 times now.. And his dad is currently in jail for 3 years and hasn't helped me at all! But his family has because we are all still really close.. I say honestly do what your heart tells you Hun.

my mom went through the same thing with my half brother, she reminds me that's it's nothing I can't get through. so I'm sure I'll be fine. just being a first time mom makes me nervous @sammie_bell

Ya it was with my first kid it happened with and I ended up with someone that loves him no reason to be scared I sways thought of it as I don't have someone I'm fighting with on how I want to raise my son

My opinion is my child will not have the fathers name until he shows support and is active in my child's life, right now mine is not being supportive and swears he will have rights I said nope not until you do your part in time if things change I will add his last name but for now she will be born with mine

I gave my son just my last name because I knew his dad would hardly be involved. I never regretted that decision.

@javiersmom, no matter what anyone tells you always do what you think is best. I do regret giving my son his biological dads full name and I plan on changing his last name to mine as soon as I have money for it.
