I'm starting a library for little lady. So far I've picked a couple Eric Carle books and Shel Silverstein. I want her to love books!
Any ideas or tips for building a library for my future reader?
@tayek, I've been looking at my local library's book sale. Tons of titles and still pretty good quality!
@sam82, I followed you so we can share ideas! I'm wanting to raise another bookworm. I'll let you know if I find some good prices on the books.
Not always @sam82 I taught my daughter to read with them, and she LOVES other books also. I'm working on teaching my 4-year-old niece now, and those books are simple but hold the attention. They enjoy rhythm BUT they also learn syllables, rhymes, and the difference between real and made up words. My niece is a bit slower to read (we suspect dyslexia, as she's nearly 5 & has a hard time with both letters AND numbers) but those simple rhymes are building her confidence.
@sarahemccormick, @tayek I am torn on Dr.Seuss! Once kids get into that rhyme and cadence other books fall to the wayside. 😊
@kmally @xeraphim1221 Thanks! I'm googling your suggestions. I don't know those books.
All of the previous suggestions plus Dr. Seuss and the Corduroy books!!!
Lots of board books for when they're younger! My little guys favorites are Giraffes Can't Dance, the Little Blue Truck & some of the Little People Flap Books! ❤️

A month today you went to sleep, I would give anything to hold your hand walking down the street, to push you down the slide, tuck you in bed and read your favourite book, the point where I now know it off by heart, to chase after you on the hobby horse whilst you run around shouting 'ye hah' , to have our late night cuddles on the couch with our blankets til we fall asleep together. I've lost my best friend, my purpose in life, my world.
Losing hope for our rainbow
So I'm 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I was at work last night and needed to use the the bathroom....tmi...when I looked down the toilet bowl was full of bloody water. When I wiped there was nothing. I've had no pain and more more bleeding since. I went to the er but there wasn't much they could do because I'm so early. They checked my levels (6140) and booked me in for an early scan on Friday. I feel like I've already lost the baby ? I don't know what to do
Best ways to prepare for natural birth, yes anything can happen and I may not get what I want but I also dont focus on the negative (: But should I watch videos if so recommendations? Book recommendations? Like I'm so nervous of labor in general and instead of stressing I'd love to learn about it to make me stress less! Lol
@sam82, great idea! I'm sound try that too. I wish there were more actual bookstores too. Like mom and pop ones.
