I had 2 with my second and I only got the second one because she failed an NST other wise I would have just gotten my anatomy scan and one when I was overdue I went into labor the day of my overdue one though lol. Usually one in early pregnancy and the anatomy scan is all a healthy pregnancy gets unless you pay for more or go over due they'll check fluid levels

That's weird, never heard of a handheld one. Definitely change doctors. I know some offices are different, with my daughter I had like 3 ultrasounds all together, and with my son I had like 5 because of elevated afp, now ultrasounds every week until I give birth. @greeneyedmama122 the healthier the pregnancy is, the less tests and ultrasounds. :)

if your pregnancy is going good you only get about 2 or 3 ultrasound, I know there's places where you pay about 30dollers for a 3d ultrasounds

I have title19 here in Iowa and so did my sister and she got a legit ultrasound when she found out as well as multiple throughout her pregnancy

I only had 2 my whole pregnancy

@countyourblessings05, it wasn't like an ultrasound she had a handheld one and it was for her to see.... Poor poor quality and o sure will ask and switch of its a funny excuse.

but she should of had one before her twentieth week though I'm about to be on my third ultrasound and I'm about to be 17 weeks @xxdionxxoo

you should be getting one around 30 weeks to check growth/ measurements.

yeah, like @dae said, ask them why, and if they give funny excuses, switch... they didn't even give you an ultrasound when you found out?? that's just strange...

I've had 2 by my ob. I get my 3rd by him on the 7th only bc he's concerned with my placenta's placement. but that's because my insurance only covers so many ultrasounds at visits. or at least that's how tenncare works here. maybe bring it up and ask why.

I felt the same one I only had 3 pictures , and the next time I went I asked if I could have more and get the 3D pics as well, and she did! tell them you would like more pictures so you can have some and for ur family too.

I've only had 2. 1 at like 8 weeks then my 20 week scan...my doctor only does 2 if the pregnancy is healthy...it's depressing but whatever
