Moms who have two babies! When your husband went back to work after you had baby, and it was time for your oldest to take a nap, did you just pick them up and do it? My son sleeps in his crib still, and he's 20 months and weighs about 28 pounds. My discharge instructions were to not lift anything heavier than my 7.14 lb baby. I had a totally unmedicated birth and I feel fan-fucking-tastic for being only 5 days pp. Do you think since I feel amazing I can just say fuck it and lift him and hold him(how I miss it)? I don't think they gave me a reason as to why I can't do so, I think maybe because my uterus is still going down? Sorry for the long post! Lol.

i would not lift him. it can increase your bleeding and clotting.

Ok, that's what I thought. I've only lifted him like once because my husband wasn't home and he was so cranky because it was his nap time. I wish he would let me put him to sleep but he's incredibly independent and doesn't like to sleep on my bed. Just his lol. @mommyof3babes

i know its hard to adjust to new things not for only you but for others around you also. days will fly by then you can get back to your normal routine! @arielmarietalks

find someone to come help you, family friends. did you have complications with birth? i know i was supposed to take it easy for a few weeks but no one told me not to lift anything.

My blood count was really low after I had her, but only because I clot unusually quick, but other than that I didn't! @myangelfaith

I had two unmediated births and I had to lift my second because they are only 22 months apart. As long as you aren't carrying them around and you're lifting with your knees just to put him to bed you should be completely fine.
