I was home cooking on December 10 and my daughter knocked my basket of clean clothes over so I bent over to pick them back up and MY WATER BROKE!!!! That was around 7:50 pm! We got all the kids picked up and made sure we had everything and we left for the hospital. I was so shocked bc with my other kids when my water broke the contractions started coming and I wasn't feeling anything. We got to the hospital and they hooked me up to monitor me and get all my paperwork filled out... I was still only at 3 cm so we finished all the paperwork and walked down to go to the delivery room. I FINALLY started feeling the contractions about 10:00 pm so I asked for a shot for pain to help ease the contractions (bc I was dead set on not getting an epidural this time since this was going to be my last time) well about 11:30 the contractions and the pressure in my vaginal area had gotten so strong they checked and I was only at 6 cm so I told them I wanted the epidural well about 11:40 pm the nurse came back in and said it was going to be about an hour or so before I could get one because the dr that puts them in was in an Emergancy surgery and they had to call one from Charlotte well about that time I got a really strong contraction and I FELT her head coming out and I started screaming at the nurse and told her I couldn't wait that long I felt her head and my body just started pushing (basically on its own) so she checked me and sure enough in those 10 mins I was at 10 cm and her head was coming out.... So she laid the bed back real fast and kept yelling for me not to push and ran out and pushed the button to get the doctor there right now as soon as he came in I was soooo scared I was crying and yelling " I can't do this I can't" and my bf just kept telling me "baby you can do this our baby is ready to come out" I was sooooo scared I didn't think I was strong enough to do it. The doctor told me to push and I did and after 3 pushes my baby girl was here at 12:00 am she weighed 6lbs 14oz and 19 1/4 in long!!!! She was so alert and looking around and I couldn't do anything but cry bc I actually did it all natural and got to experience the whole thing!!!! I am so glad the dr had to go into surgery or I woulda tried waiting to get the epidural!!!!
So here she is BRAYLEIGH ELIZABETH!!!!!
