Has anyone been able to successfully pump and feed instead of actually latching their baby on? the nurses have mentioned it as a backup plan since I'm having so many issues with getting him to latch and then staying latched without destroying my nipples and I was wondering if it was possible to do that successfully in place of latching....

Have your doctor check him for tongue tie and speak to a lactation consultant !

I've done both. He was in the nicu for a week, 4 days before I could breastfeed him. I think that may be the issue
