When i was at the ultrasound place for my anatomy scan, i was surprised that they took me back by myself first, and even more surprised that they stuck a wand up "there" to check my cervix. They said that they recently started doing it at the anatomy scan to check if there's a chance of preterm labor, and she said my cervix looked great and closed so nothing to worry about. But did anyone else's doctor do this?

I go every wk to get my cervix checked.. but mine is thinning out

I was asking because i'd never heard anyone mention anything about it before! I didn't have any problems with anything this pregnancy so far so there wasn't a specific reason to do it, i just wanted to see if every doctor did it or just mine @rebcamdot @nancy646 @butturfli

they probably couldn't get a good measurement with an ultrasound so they had to use the one they put down there..

@nancy646, this was before they started the ultrasound. She did it just to check that my cervix was closed.

Mines did, but it was required to check my uterus since its a bicornuate shape
