Has anyone else had a doctor that didn't want to induce until 42 weeks? I think it's kinda ridiculous and it kinda makes me worry that I'm going to have to end up having a c section because she'll get too big. The ultrasound tech said because of mine and my fiancé's birth weights to expect an 8lb baby. And there is no way a baby any bigger than that is gonna come outta my hoo ha. I'm a small ass woman. It's just not gonna work. Plus I haven't had an ultrasound since 28 weeks, so i have no idea how big she is already. Anyway, has anyone had any luck getting their doctor to induce earlier than 42 weeks? Cause hell, I'd be happy with just 41 weeks or a couple days before..... I have my next appointment Thursday, which is two days after my due date. And if she isn't here by then, I'm going to talk to my doctor about inducing me before 42 weeks.

my son weighed 10lbs 9.8oz and I had to have him vaginally and it sucked because he was too big.

That's normal I think , my dr said I would get induced the day before I was 42 weeks but my daughter ended up comming in her own just 10 days late

well it's actually completely okay to go up to 2 weeks after your due date.... it's actually usually safer than induction.. Your body was made to do this, and it knows what it's doing. Baby will come when she's ready (:

Trust that your body is capable and that your body knows best. A due date is nothing more than an estimate. Delivering after 40 weeks has a lesser chance of a c section than being induced before 40 weeks

my doctor told me the other day that we can schedule my inducement at my 37 week app, and we will schedule it for the Monday after I'm 39 weeks.

lol my boyfriend will be working 14 hrs away when I'm due, so I asked my doctor, im so happy they are willing to help, bc I don't want him to miss it! and it's only a cpl days before my actual due date, I'm just happy to have a set date if she don't come on her own before :)

@wrd2016 That's great! I honestly don't think my doctor would induce me that early even if I had a legit reason. Which 39 weeks isn't even early....but whatever. lol

@wrd2016 It really is!! Every doctor is different I guess, but I'm going to talk with his Thursday at my appointment if she isn't here by then. And I REALLY hope she is
