Labor Story:
well, as some may know already I have a history of preterm delivery. my first daughter was measured small throughout my pregnancy and she came out at 36 weeks. with this pregnancy I received the steroid shot for lungs and was on the progesterone injections and procardia up until 36 weeks.
well December 10th I had my regular doctors appointment.. he checked my cervix and told me I was 5cm dilated, he asked about contractions.. I had irregular ones but felt a lot of pressure from babies head. he sent me home. ever since we left contractions had started and got stronger within 2 hours. we went back to the hospital, into triage and my Dr was thankfully in the hallway, he came in and checked me and I was now 7cm dilated. I got rushed into a room got my epidural and waited about 2 hours. my Dr came in and broke my water, 30 minutes later I had a HUGE urge to push. babies head was already bulging out before anyone was ready! less then 5 minutes of pushing and she was here. she came out with some facial bruising but it's almost gone now. eyes are still a bit swollen, but she is getting better every new day. so blessed and thankful for how things went. suffered a little pain but it was so worth it after it all.
