anyone heard about mirena IUD causing MS symptoms and possible future diagnosis? after having it inserted
and my arms keep going weak so I'm scared to hold my son @jennatess
I'm having tingly sharp sparatic pain up and down my legs and numbness in my legs that feels like I have bags of potatoes as legs @jennatess and thank you
@dianne0825, goodluck (& congrats!). Are you having numbness in your limbs? Or are you just being precautionary?
thank you ☺ I'm going to the ER tomorrow after my wedding @jennatess
Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological disorder. If you're showing signs of numbness, you really need to have it removed and schedule an MRI to make sure you don't have any signs of lesions on the brain. I never understood how the IUD could be linked with MS, but I've definitely heard of this happening. I would speak to a neurologist just to make sure. My mom has MS, and it's no fun. Deal with this now before it's too late. Good luck! <3
Never heard of that.... but there's a lot of ppl against the Mirena because their cousins friends mom's sister had a bad experience lol
@dianne0825, well typically* it will only be in one leg (or arm), or the other. Never both at the same time..not until it's really progressed. So, that's a good sign! You may be having bad circulation- which can also be caused from the IUD. Definitely get yourself checked out though!
