do you... Clean up after your SO is done cooking? Or vice versa? DF was cooking and while he was cooking I unloaded the dish washer and hand washed the pot he had used and put dishes in the dish washer, so by the time he got his plate, dishes were done and left overs were in Tupperware on the counter just in case anyone wanted seconds and counters were wiped down. The room mate asked me why I do that, and I just say that's how I was raised. I always clean up after anyone cooks in the house, even after myself. I clean as I cook, so DF doesn't clean up because it's done before dinner is finished lol. But there's rare occasions where he'd be in the kitchen while I cook so he does help out with the cleaning since i cook during the day sometimes so we can heat it up when it's dinner time. I want everyone to get their first and seconds before I eat. My mom has taught me to always clean up after your spouse makes dinner, it's only fair. They put their effort into cooking, you should always help them out.
Trigger warning UPDATE IN COMMENTS So going off of my poll about using correct body terms I need some 2nd opinions. I feel like I am so paranoid about this. So my sil has been with my brother for 12 years now. Our families are really close. We clean for her mom and step dad every two weeks and house sit from time to time. Her mom absolutely adores my dd so we would bring her with us. I started noticing that her stepdad would always want to bring her in another room. I didn't think anything because they could occupy her while we cleaned no big deal. Her mom would often lay down because she has severe fibromyalgia and has a hard time with pain. But then he would say things like let's go in the play room and change your diaper. And if we went into that room to vacuum or clean the bathroom he seemed burdened that we went in there. Odd. I mentioned it to dh and he started getting uncomfortable with her being alone with him. I just always had a weird feeling about how he acted and the things he'd say. I just didn't really start paying attention until after awhile. He always says things like why don't you come sit on my lap. It always just sounded weird when he said it. I don't want to cause trouble if nothing is really happening but would his behavior strike you as odd or weird? Should I be concerned?
I know I'm only 9 weeks. but we have a lot to do for the babies room. right now it's just a catchall room. and I'm just annoyed my bf doesn't seem to care and thinks we have plenty of time. I don't want to be rushing. I want it to be ready and not killing myself getting it done. I know it's too early to be buying crib and what not. but I want the room at least cleared out and the work that needs to happen to the room to be done! or at least in progress!
Boy house problems - the boys bathroom always smelling like pee always - I just cleaned tf out of it with bleach I still smell it 😩
Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

I'm in the same place! It's depressing to clean! I have a small room and small closet that's why it happens so often.
