My scheduled induction was for 11/28 at 11am, arrived at 10:30am. Filled out paperwork. Got my room and BH 1:50pm on 11/28 we started the induction process. Upon my arrival they determined I was having contractions but wasn't dilating any. So basically just Braxton hicks but before they could start my induction they gave me visceral to slow down and space apart the contractions I was having. Along with IV fluids. Then started me on "misoprostol"(a pill to induce labor.) That took 6 hours and slightly softened my cervix but didn't dilate me any. Then they gave me another dose of visceral and IV fluids for the same reason.(space apart my contractions.)

Then inserted some liquid medication through my IV to try to soften my cervix. That did nothing. Then at 3am finally put in my cervadil. Then they just took it out at 3:30pm and said I'm a loose 2 tight 3. Well they didn't want to send me to L&D. They wanted to do another dose of visceral to slow down my contractions. AGAIN, Then an IV fluid. Then start me on another 12 hours of Cervadil and they wouldn't even check me in between. It had to be put in for the full 12 hours!!!! And I only had a little bit to go. So I asked to speak to my midwife and then my midwife ended up speaking with the nurse and telling her I was fine to be sent down to labor and delivery. I got down to L&D on 11/29 started pitocin at 6pm. My contractions were so ridiculous that night but I still was not dilating like I should have been! I was barely getting any sleep from the time I was admitted and started my induction process because the contractions were so painful! Finally on

11/30 at 10:20am broke my water and checked me and I was 3cm dilated 80% effaced. I got the epidural at 12:30pm 11/30 due to my contractions being 1 minute apart and my body needing a break! Then they checked me at 1pm and I was 4cm dilated 80% effaced, -1 station then checked me again at 2:30 and it was the same progress. I had to lay on my right side because the baby didn't tolerate me laying on my left. Causing all the pain meds of my epidural to go to my right side and I could feel every pain in my left side. Eventually they got me in a good position to even out the medication! Come about 9pm I was checked again and still had no progress. I had been at the hospital with contractions for nearly 70 hours at this point I was completely exhausted and Camden was not tolerating my labor. Every time I laid on my left side. Or got up to pee(prior to my epi) he would have Decels and every nurse on the floor would rush into my room and start flipping me side to side to get his heart rate back up. This Also happened at least 15-20 times during my labor! Finally I ended up requested a C section. I as so completely exhausted and every time they tried to up my dose of pitocin past like a 12 Camdens heart rate would drop from like 160 to 70-80! I felt like it was getting dangerous not only for the baby at that point but my self as well! Needless to say my C section started at about 10:35 and baby was born at 10:43pm on 11/30/15 weighting 7lbs 11oz and 20.5 inches long. He was a perfect healthy little guy! I however did lose quite a bit of blood and so I'm on iron pills now for anemia. Just temporarily! And I had a lot of swelling in my legs and feet! No staples or stitches to close me up either. She used glue instead! And I was up and walking around 12hours after my C section! But it was the best decision I've ever made! Absolutely LOVED my c section!
