Sorry in advanced you guys. This is the only place I can vent on without my family up my ass.
I'm so sick of people telling me I don't wanna get married or marriage is a bad thing or that I'll lose my freedom if I get married. If you're married and you feel like that, then obviously you're in the wrong marriage. Marriage is supposed to build you up not make you feel trapped. Marriage is a beautiful thing between two people who love each other. If you feel trapped or like you have no freedom, get out of your marriage. Don't tell me I don't wanna get married because that's what will happen to me. I love my boyfriend and he loves me and our baby girl. We want to get married but everyone keeps making it sound like its prison which scares us. I don't want my future to be based on what others say because they're marriage is shit. Let me be happy. Just because you think I won't be happy doesn't mean that's true.

@mariahabigael, it's okay. It's my mom who says that. And her friends agree with her! They tell me I need to be the one with the "balls" in our relationship. But I don't think that's how it should be. Both people should have the "balls" not just one. I just wanna be happy and not feel like my relationship is a joke.
I feel the same ! No one has said that to me, but sometimes I get the feeling they want too. I'm sorry people are being so negative.
yup.. or the bitter ex wives who have been through more than one mariage...thanksgiving was not fun for me =( i was told you might think this wil be your only marriage but people get divorced etc. . i want to keep my child and my future husband away from my family ..
