Colostrum is like really thick yellow stuff that is SUPER good for them. So if you have any troubles latching put the colostrum on your finger or spoon and give him every drop it makes a huge difference!

I breastfed my baby the colostrum for the first 4 days, then I switched to formula due to some issues. Their tummy is so tiny when they are born that they don't need alot to eat. And yes, the nurses will help you. :)

Yea they do! I had lactation consultant at the hospital whom i called and helped me and answered all my questions! She even stopped by every couple hrs at the hospital to see how i was doing..

Colostrum.

Even the nurses where very helpful! It can be very frustrating at first bt the main thing is getting ur LO to LATCH on correctly then u wont have trouble

you should have colostrum that comes in and then the baby will help bring in your milk it could take a couple days after birth to have the milk come in. feed on demand when their hungry feed it tells your breast to produce milk
