Just because something happens to some women does not mean that it's the same for everyone else!!!! Not everyone's contractions and waters breaking and mucus plugs and births and pregnancies are identical people!!! I wish people would stop saying that! That gives some women false assurances when really only their doctors should be the ones telling us what is or isn't normal. Obviously it's fine to get advice but don't take that as the only truth we should ALWAYS call our Drs if we think there's something off or having any medical questions because they are the ONLY people that know our bodies and babies.

I want to say that in my response but I honestly think some women want the hope false or not... Like I have this this and this symptom can I be pregnant? Well clearly we can't say yes and it actually be yes lol so I just comment and hope they take what I'm saying at face value with the common sense that it will more than likely happen differently for them

I was talking about women who are having signs of labor but one or two women tell them that because "blah blah blah" didn't happen they are "obviously" not in labor and that makes me so mad. That's how bad things happen. @rhonda.otero

I know I was using that as an example but it still fits... When I read your question I was thinking about one I responded to earlier about cramps being contractions.. I was like in my case they were normal cramps earlier that day but the big contractions in the hospital were never felt. I didn't even know I was in labor... So in my head a cramp means contraction because during this pregnancy I tell my doctor I'm cramping she says to drink water so I wouldn't be contracting.. I just figured the am I pregnant question was easier to explain since we all have different symptoms before we test that may or may not make us think we are pregnant

But I understand what you are saying... I was telling her she could be in labor and not know it and others were saying they were Braxton hicks she could just wait but I personally didn't experience or know that I experienced Braxton hicks so I always say to go in just to be safe.. Some women are more worried about being a bother to the hospital staff so they get the reassurance on here which could lead them to a possible bad situation

Yes I completely understand. And I see all the time on here and on Facebook mommy groups that women say "you're not in labor unless you have contractions" and I know people personally that never felt contractions and when some women are told that unless "blah blah" happens you're not in labor and they don't call their dr it can just cause problems and it angers me. Same with a lot of other stuff. @rhonda.otero

Exactly I would always rather be safe than sorry... So much can go wrong in a matter of minutes if the appropriate steps aren't taken

Exactly! @rhonda.otero my best hope is that everyone has the common sense to call their Drs with anything but I see so many women that don't and it makes me sad :(
