I have the choice to be induced next week and I really don't know what to do I want to go natural…

Did they give you an estimated weight? I say do what you wanted and wait it out first then if you have to be induced then that's what it will have to be but you don't want any regrets

I loved being induced! It was almost 8 years ago but I found it strangely calming that I knew every step ahead of time. I knew when my water would break, when my contractions would start, etc.

were your contractions really bad?

I agree with @alexinwonderland it felt good knowing what was expected to happen next. And I also agree with @rhonda.otero not regretting getting induced. I was induced with my first so I don't have anything to compare it too, I didnt get BH or any contractions leading up to 39 weeks. But I did it without any pain meds and my midwife and the rest of the nurses told me my labor went fast -active labor & pushing for 4hrs.

I was induced with my first. Even though things went okay I'm definitely waiting until this guy decides to come out on his own. There is a much higher risk for c section and complications with induction, and if you're trying to go all natural it's best to avoid any unnecessary interventions.

I liked being being induced @alexinwonderland I like knowing how it's gonna happen though them breaking my water was the worse part epidural was better then that

@lacywriter91, yes, having my water broken was one of the most painful parts. I swear that nurse was elbow deep... My best friend helped me in the delivery room and she has a scar on her hip where I grabbed her during it.

Lol my doctor did mine and it was horrible like they were just stabbing you then there that hook at the end ugh I crushed my bfs hand lol nit looking forward to that this time either

My baby measured 2 weeks ahead and my Dr told me to induce at 38 weeks. We ended up not inducing because I was not dilated or effaced at that point. We then changed plans and had a scheduled c section. My c section was scheduled for the day after my due date,but then switched to the day before because I started having regular contractions. I was like you and also didn't want to get induced or have a c section, but at a certain point I decided to listen to my Dr. I am honestly glad I did because my baby was born 9lbs 4oz,and had the cord wrapped around his neck. Vaginal delivery would have been very dangerous for me, and I might have ended up having an emergency c section anyway. I think if your Dr wants to induce, trust them. Also, I know many people who have had very positive experiences with being induced. Good luck and I hope everything will be great.

Inducing was fine for me...had it with my second. Didn't think contractions were any stronger than with my first. I actually handled it much better
