I had the flu while pregnant and honestly their isn't much they can do for you unless you spike an extremely high fever. If you've already been exposed even getting the flu shot right now wouldn't really help. I'm sorry your family isn't helping but try not to stress too much because it's not really life or death for you or the baby.

I was told from the doc that I needed to get in asap. that influenza can be fatal to pregnant women. I had the flu already. I can't breath and my heart feels like it's coming out of my chest just sitting doing nothing. @soontobemomof5

@jeanie, influenza is the flu there are just different strains of the flu. I've had the flu, bronchitis and RSV while being pregnant each time they tell me the same thing stay hydrated and rest. Not being able to breath and your heart coming out of your chest honestly sounds like a panic attack. If you really feel like you need to be seen now you could always call for an ambulance or a taxi.

@soontobemomof5, unless you are a nurse and talk to my doctor and went by what they say you have no idea what I have. there is more to it then just that. I know what a panic attack is. I've had them many times. this is far from it.

@jeanie, Your right I'm not your Dr or your nurse but influenza is the flu so I was just trying to ease your mind. I hope you feel better and get to the Dr.
