36 weeks today! yay!! was wondering if it is too early to ask for a membrane sweep at my appointment today??? I was 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced last Thursday. Been up the past 3 nights with strong braxton hicks and cramping. But it hasn't progressed. Doc told me last week that my cervix was very ripe (tmi) lol and I most likely will not make it to my due date (12-31) I just dont want to be in the hospital on christmas! just want to help the process along you know?

Well I'm sure your going to be in labor before your due date if you have that much progress.
@xaviermom1221, @taija well apparently my doc doesn't do the sweep anymore. says the success rates are really low and tend to cause strong contractions without progress. On a good note I'm 2 cm but now completely effaced. And baby boy is at 0 so he's ready to go. Now if my body would just get on board lol

Try to wait til your 37 weeks, though. 34 is technically the "safe zone", but 37 is what you want to really aim for to be absolutely safe. :)
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

@xaviermom1221, yeah she's confident I'm going to go into labor soon and was very adamant that I get to the hospital as soon as it starts bc of where he's at he will come quick. eeek!
