Are these Braxton Hicks? Every now and then I feel my stomach tighten, it becomes hard as a rock and sometimes it lasts a few seconds and sometimes a minute and it happens every few minutes or so but it's not all the time. I can't tell if it's just the way the baby is moving or if it's actually Braxton Hicks, it hurts a little but not a lot. Also, is it ever bad when a baby moves around too much? My little one has been moving around and kicking and punching like crazy for a few hours now, he'll stop only for a minute or so but then start up again.

I'm not sure but honestly I think I just had one right now. It's exactly as how you explained it. It's a lot of pressure

My sto om ach felt like that at 29 weeks. It could he braxton hicks for you. For me, I was starting to go into labor. They are contractions though.

@meagansimone, Thats what I'm worried about... I hope they are just Braxton Hicks. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, I'll ask then, but my doctor doesn't plan to start checking me till 37 weeks

Get tpit checked out. Mine at the time weren't strong enouh to dilate me. yYou can always check yourself to see if you are dilating. I remember the doctor pushing down and under on my stomach and sticking two fingers in to check.

If it was the baby you should be able to see him or her curled up in a ball in your stomach. Otherwise it's a bh if your stomach just gets tight. I was told more that 4 bh an hour is cause for a call to your dr or l&d

I was told the same thing as @mrsschutte1323 more than four in an hour is something to be concerned with. My doctor described the Braxton hicks as tightening in the stomach. Good thing you have an appointment. It's definitely something that should be mentioned

@autumn, @mrsschutte1323 @meagansimone ok I'll talk to him, I know it's tmi but my BMs have been more frequent too... at least like 2 times a day... So I'll definitely talk to my doctor.

!!!!!!!! That's another sign that you're going into labor soon. It doesn't always happen but that's a way of our bodies cleansing themselves to prepare!!!!
