Ok my husband and I are ordering our crib and want to get our mattress at target as well because we will get a $50 gift card if we spend $60 more dollars. Here's what I've learned from the Internet. So basically what I got was you need to buy a firm mattress. If we find it comfortable for us it's not right for baby. Don't go cheap. Buy one between $90-200. We can do foam or spring but shouldn't be able to put two fingers in between the mattress and the crib or the mattress is too small and dangerous for baby. Always buy a mattress cover. Organic can mean anything as their is no standard or requirement to call a mattress organic... All this and I still can't decide because I'm ordering online... What mattresses do you all have???? Or plan to buy??

Ordering one online must be difficult! We looked for a firm and thick one: so we chose by feeling them :) maybe you can go to the store before you order online?

@shortizzie, do you know what model @ananasbaby we went to four stores yesterday lol and I couldn't find one I liked... My husband said we are just ordering it online.. Starting all over again it's like we are first time parents lol

@rhonda.otero, oops. If you are worried about returning it, order it from babies r us. They have a good return policy especially if it's on your registry.
