I think both. I did that with my last pregnancy 2 days before I went into my doctors and I didn't have any contractions or anything and then when I got to my doc 2 days later she checked me and was like oh time for u to go to hospital ur 5cm dilated. And my water still hadn't broke they had to break it there.

I actually have some of those pills I just haven't used them yet @positivemommy do they help with dilating? Or just thinning your cervix?

Look up you tube for pregnancy dance if u can bare it and if tomorrow u still haven't gone in go to the store buy some primrose pills and what u do is u break open the pill cuz the oil is in it and put it in your vagina as far up as u can. It's natural so won't hurt baby.

Try getting on your knees by the couch and squatting while swaying. That helped me with the pain

@bashsmommy1115, I would try that but my bf is in there asleep I've been sitting on the edge of the couch and bouncing some and then when I stand or try and walk to get through the contractions i stand a sway my hips back and forth? Will that help any?

I bounced on the edge of my bed during contractions as best I could and it helped me dilate more

@debbiecakez, I walked the hospital walking up and down the stair and hallways and my bf is asleep (he's been at work since 6 am and we just got home @ 12am) and I've tried some squats in between the pains. It's actually getting pretty annoying bc im in so much pain and they wouldn't do anything but give me some pain meds to help with the pain and it's worn off now and they sent me home. @mrsschutte1323 I may have to try that bc im hurting so bad it's not even funny im in tears it hurts so bad. @momma_beffers mine either lol

Hot bath. Hot as you can stand. It will help with the pain of labor and help things move along a bit more. That's what my dr told me. They have tubs in my hospital rooms specifically for that. Not for waterbirths just for laboring in.
