Question! I went into the hospital last Monday for what I thought was contractions but when I got there they didn't pick anything up and said it could just be Braxton hicks. And they checked to see if I'm dilated and I'm not. When they discharged me the paper had a check next to no sexual activity. I've been feeling frisky and I would like to surprise my fiancé tonight but Idk if I should do it or wait till I talk to my doctor at my next appointment. Any opinions?

I'm obv not a dr but I would say it's cool just know if you orgasm that it's going to make your uterus contract so you might have cramping or more bh but that's prob the reason I'd say
That's true but the office is already closed for the day and I don't find this a reason for the on call doctor lol. I see him tomorrow so I could wait if I have too
Sex is perfectly fine, it can actually help you to dilate! You're going to contract during or after sex if you reach orgasm, that's just the way your body works. I went to the hospital last night for the same thing, I'm dilated to 2cm and 80% effaced at 36+5 and still had sex this morning. Don't worry, only worry about having sex after your water breaks, lol, that's a no no.
You could always call your doctor and ask them. I know it might be a little embarrassing but you're probably not going to ask them anything they haven't already been asked.
You'll be fine. you can have sex up until your water breaks. it won't cause problems. Braxton hicks are normal to have anyway
