vent/rant incoming: im trying to clean the house. my mother keeps interrupting me to ask me to grab things for her (she's babysitting my nephew and has to keep him downstairs), poor baby is screaming his head off because he's fighting sleep and just wants attention but mom thinks sewing is more important. it's giving me a headache. on top of that, my poor puppy almost broke my heart this morning. he woke up and could barely stand up, he's had (tmi here) watery poops for the last 3 days, and he didn't want to eat or walk this morning. turns out it's a common thing for pit bulls (he's half) to get temporary paralysis of the hind legs that is also accompanied by watery diarrhea. I also need to do hubby's laundry because he leaves tomorrow but he's too concerned with his video games to get the laundry out of his truck. I'm about to grab his keys and get it myself but it's damn cold outside. been having odd pains lately. I just wanna relax and color and be lazy. is that too much to ask? all I do is clean and do things for other people. when is someone gonna do something for me?

I thibk he's too old for it. he's a year and a half old. I just call him a puppy because all dogs are puppies to me lol @savvysmom we already looked it up tho and hubby found a forum about it. it's pretty common in pitbulls which my dog is half pit bull

strange my older dog got it but he fought it off after a day or two naturally. hes a pit/lab/boxer. and i think he was 2 when he got it.

@savvysmom, yea it said that the paralysis usually goes away pretty quick, he's ok in that aspect now and has his energy back already. as far as the diarrhea, I'm hoping it goes away soon because he currently needs to go out every 1-2 hours. I've eoken up in the middle of the night a few times now and caught him just in time to keep from pooping on the floor

@wiccanmommy, he's been vaccinated for it. we actually got him caught up on his shots in July because he hadn't gotten any since before we got him. we couldn't afford it and we were living on the road (hubby's a truck driver)

poor puppy! i hope he feels better! my family tried getting my dog to eat anything he would take just to keep stuff in his tummy. but idk whats recommended! good luck!

@savvysmom, well hubby also gave him some pain killers we were given when he got neutered to I think that had a lot to do with the paralysis going away so quick. he'll be ok :)

@arijane316, if u have boneless chicken breast u can boil some in just plain water and add a little rice to it if u have it that will stop the diarrhea and also give some energy! vet always recommends it n thats what i do for my dog

not saying your dog has it but parvo is so scary my dog we had since we where baby's got it and he almost died. My dad had to feed him through a tube to keep him alive but he beat it. Maybe you should get him checked better safe then sorry it's a horrible thing to go through but better if you catch it earlier. My dogs brother died overnight we didn't even know he was sick we just woke up and he was dead.
