Posting Csection incision/scar pics for any mommas interested in how the scar heals. Mine is very low covered in pubic hair mainly. Its a little swollen, not sure if that will go down. 3 weeks post almost. Pics in comments just in case anyone is offended by pubic hair or bikini lines
He was 7lbs7 oz. i was induced because she wanted to try for vaginal delivery and he was getting too big for me. I was a few days earlier than my due date. I wasnt dilated at all either. We both were perfectly healthy. Im very petite so a 7lb baby for me is like a 10lb baby for average size. But from my experience if the doc is pushing for csection then listen. My labor was a bit shaky but could have been so much worse! My little guys face and head was sooo bruised and swollen when i saw him i knew my doctor made the right call. No way he was going to fit without injuries to me or him @varduim
wow, thank you for posting this!! I haven't seen any incisions or scars and didn't know what to expect if I end up with a c section. Honestly, most of them look like when you wear underwear that's too tight and it digs into your skin! No where near as bad as I was expecting!
@shortiebs, Wow, I'm sorry it was so hard for you & baby! I'm very glad you both were safe & healthy! How much did he weigh at birth? And did your Dr ever show concern about his size before delivery? When the decision was made yesterday and my Dr scheduled me for Wednesday, I've had some mixed feedback from family. My husband agrees with the Dr and is very supportive, but my mom & sis are saying just what you mentioned above, telling me not to listen, not to take the easy way out & that the Dr only wants to do a c-section for $ or convenience. I felt really emotional and torn, but have since felt more confident to listen to my Dr. I really appreciate hearing what you went through, it does help me feel better going into it. Thank you! 💓
@varduim, i got my csection after being induced for 16 hours and baby wouldnt fit out. I was stuck at 8cm for 5 hours and he just wouldnt pass through. So if the doc thinks the baby is too big take it seriously. A lot of people where like "dont listen to the doc when they say baby is too big they just want to do csection" my doc was patient and attentive and tried to let the baby come but his head started swelling. I dont regret agreeing to the csection. I felt a little defeated after trying so hard and not being able to do vaginal. My hospital staff was very nice and gave me plenty pain meds and stool softener. At home the recovery wasnt bad either. Lots of rest. I took motrin for a few days didnt take any harder meds
@ashley_abby20, Thank you!!! That is good to know about the stool softeners & pain meds! My Dr planned to induce at 38 weeks, but I wasn't dilated at all and so she waited. I'll be 40 weeks tomorrow (still not dilated as of yesterday) and she said she doesn't want to risk a vaginal birth at this point. She also told me that I will tear really bad & there is a chance he will get stuck. I didn't know what to do, but decided to trust & listen to her. I can't wait to have my baby with me. You are right, it will all be worth it then! 😊💗
My doctor did the stitches on the inside though and they dissolved on their own @ashley_abby20
@varduim, They give you stool softeners an pain meds at the hospital so don't buy pain medication.....and don't worry you'll be fine mine was optional too I could have let my son break my vagina or do a Csection an I chose to do a Csection because I wanted to get over the horrible pain I was feeling because the epidural didn't work on me for nothing so it's like everything was Raw for me you know but every woman is different an I wish you best of luch at yours pain or anything won't even matter unroll you have your baby in your arms @varduim ❤️😍❤️
All the time lol and it hurts especially when my son kicks it or something 😭 @ashley_abby20
@ashley_abby20, Thank you, I'm extremely nervous. I knew it was an option all along because my baby has been measuring large, but when my Dr scheduled it at my appt yesterday I still felt very shocked. It's really reassuring to hear about other mom's experiences. And, my Dr told me to get a stool softener for after, so I hope that will help!
Yeah it's normal! I was super swollen on my sides up until a month and then that went down
@varduim, Yeah don't worry you won't feel pain just a lot of pressure especially if there gonna drug you up lol but afterwards I'm not gonna lie it hurts after an you feel a lot of pain plus you can't fart or do #2
@shortiebs, Yeah it was puffy at first then became flat as I was healing I covered it an ate healthy lol it still bothers an itches but it's still gonna be little till it does completely heal...feel me
@varduim, thats exactly why i posted it! No one talks much about csections so i didnt know what to expect. But ive been healing well so far.
Yours looks flat! I didnt see mine the same day. Belly was still too big lol @ashley_abby20
Thanks for posting. My Dr is planning a c-section for me on Thursday. This is my 1st baby and I was curious about the incision and scar (among other things! ).
@shortiebs, Ughh I know when the cut is that fresh it hurts like a bitch I had the same one an mine was sooo painful I'm show you mine when I gave birth...and now at 6 months prior
So the swelling is normal? My doc checked it and said it healed nicely. Im glad she did it so low
@levleah, i was surprised! Its also so low no one besides your partner will see. And if you keep low trimmed hair you cant see it at all really.
