When they start doing things that are wrong. If your 6 month old bites you and you let them and they do it and do it and do it because you didn't think they would understand "no" then after a certain age you suddenly start saying no to that act they'll be confused as to why t was okay yesterday but now it's not

@youngb, i actually do it now (8 months) when he touches something he shouldnt be like the dog food, pulling my glasses off my face i just tap his hand and tell him no

I started doing it around 6 months I just tell him no. Now he's 1 year and for the most part he listens and he understands what no means. But if i have to i will hit him on his hand. Not hard but just hard enough where he feels it so he understands

to me i started around 1. because i believe they start to fully understand the word no . ☺

I guess I already do she's 6 months like when she pinches my face I say ow loudly, and I tell her no. and I'll take her away from things when I say no. but nothing more than that yet
