ok ladies need advice...I was at walmart alittle bit ago and I was struggling to put everything on the register and a can of spinach slipt out of my hands and fell in my baby's car seat..it nicked the side of his head..he cried..alittle red spot where it hit but he is acting normal and fine..no knot the redness went away and it does t seem to hurt him any more..it think it scared him more than anything...should I be worried? or take him to get checked out?

I wouldn't be worried but go with your gut feeling. They are made to get bumps and bruises

@prestonsmommy, to me he's acting himself..which is good...I read the syptoms to look for and he doesn't have any of them...he's due for his last nap but I'm trying to make him play alittle longer so it's been about an hour since it happen so I think it's okay for him to take a nap right??

Yeah. Just watch him. If he starts acting funny then bring him in. An hour after the accident they are good to sleep under care.

as long as he's acting fine and no vomiting and pupils are reactive (well maybe not with a infant their eyes take a bit to adjust) he can nap. they recently have changed the recommendations regarding concussions.

as long as he's eating still and acting normal I'd say he's fine... just watch him real well when he is sleeping. my Dr had us wake Aj up every hour he slept for the next 12 hours .. but other Dr's do it different.
