I have a question,my landlord cheated us out of money by having us pay 90 in water every month when…

I think its completely fair

I know you can ask him but if in the lease it states you have to give notice and if there is a termination fee he can charge that because its not a situation which would affect your living like health reasons. Im in property mangement :)

but if he did something illegal (having us pay the water for both my family and upper/past due amount from previous renters )and doesn't want us to sue for it then I would think he would let us off only a month or two early my lease is up this March and where I live it hard to get a place so you need to look a month or two ahead if time,I mean health wise there is black mold in the basement but we want to just move to catch a place and because we were cheated ,and he also won't give us another copy if the lease we asked he just didn't do it @des_a_rayy

Do you have it in writing the original water arrangement and reciepts of what youv paid? That would be the only way if it was to go to court the judge may let you off the hook and avoid the termination fee if the landlord was to charge it but since youv already stopped paying since you paid extra the judge would question why you were now trying to get out of your lease. My personal experience, iv never seen people able to walk away from there lease because of charges because than it shouldnt of been a credit. Just be careful some landlords are shady and will mess up your credit and rental history so if he does let you guys off get it in writing.

If you were to give him notice about the mold in writing he would have 7 days to fix it if he doesnt you can abate your rent by a third and also move early without owing anything too.

@des_a_rayy, thank you do we tell him about the mold or can we talk to the health department ? what about deposit ? why are reasons you don't get it back and what are reasons you would ,sorry for all the question

Talk to him but give it to him in writing. Wait it out for a week and if its not fixed tell him in writing when you will be vacating. I work for a huge magement company so it takes a month for deposits to be returned so I would talk to him about when you would be getting that back. On your notice to leave put the forwading address landlords usually mail out the deposits. When I do move outs I usually charge for drip pans, carpet clean and a cleaning for the apt if its bad. By law I can charge for large items or trash let behind so just clean it out and dont leave anything behind. Excessive damage too, holes in walls, broken doors etc. I always say it should look the way it did when you moved in and when you leave take a pic just in case he tries to say it was bad and doesnt want to give you your dep back :)
