How long after birth does your period come back? The things I wonder at 3 am lol

Yeah my 6 week appt is When I'm getting mine lol ill let you know how I like it after a few weeks if i do get it

Whatever I decide to go with my ob said they would do 6 weeks after giving birth.. So I'm sure by then I'll be over needles and stuff lol. It looks like the best choice to me as well, almost done reading the pamphlet then I'll be reading about it online @lilyandkaidynsmommy

I've had two csections so a small cut in the arm is nothing lol. I hated needles and stuff before my first baby too but I had so many and I had to poke myself cause of gestational diabetes that it doesn't even bother me anymore. Everything I've read about nexplanon seems like the best over all choice for me and I'm supposed to get it on the 21st of December so I hope I don't have negative side effects

Not as many risks as the others thankfully. But now I'm kind of wondering what effects it could have while breastfeeding since some does pass to the baby, it says no effects on growth, but what about development and their future..

This is what I've found for it so far. Sounds a lot better than possible death lol

Yeah that's in the risks right along with it causing infertility and death.... No thanks.... Lol. The only reason I never wanted kids before is because I don't like hospitals blood needles anything.... But I guess after giving birth I may feel different lol. I wish they would put me totally under to put it in and take it out but they completely numb your arm and it's like a really big shot I guess. Idk I'm afraid they'll do it wrong and have to redo it lmao. I have time to think it over though

I don't mind the cutting me to put it in or whatever that's nothing for me lol. I just can't get over how many stories about the iud getting lost and embedded in people's uteruses I hear

Well I was reading the 10 year one and it says the same risks as the 5 year one.. Both iud's.... I'm looking back through the 3 year arm implant nexplanon to relook at the risks, but I can't get past the fact that they basically have to do mini surgeries to put it in and take it out... Makes me feel queasy just looking at how they put it in and take it out lol

IUDs freak me out so I've never looked too much into them I hear way too many stories

It's paraguard. I want another in 2/3 years. It can be taken out at any time :) @lilyandkaidynsmommy

I didn't even know there was a 10 year one wow. I know I want another in either 3-5 years so 10 is too much for me lol

And of course I get to work, I find the 3&5 year one but the 10 year pamphlet is missing. Urgh don't even remember the name lol

The 5 year iud is the one I was talking about, the 10 year iud is what I'm thinking about getting

With my first I didn't get a period until 11 months pp. ebf was our "birth control" and I didn't get pregnant until we started trying. Also the IUD is safe while breastfeeding too. In getting the nexplanon though

I heard that with the 5 year one that if you get pregnant it can cause death, the 3 year one can cause infertility if you get pregnant.. I haven't read the negatives of the 10 year one yet. Thankfully it can be taken out in a few years but I'm hoping that one is a lot safer. I wanted to go with the 3 year one so bad but then read how bad the 3&5 year ones can be. I've heard a lot of good things about the 10 year one, nothing bad yet but I was actually planning on looking through that one tomorrow at work. Hopefully it will be safer or I really don't know what I'll do.. I can't trust myself to remember pills and my doc didn't say any others were ok to use while breast feeding.. So hopefully the 10 year one will not have as many problems. That's the one I'm going for now even though I only wanna wait 2-3 years but I'd rather get a 10 year one to use 2 years than get the 3 year one with all the risks :/

My friend got pregnant using an implant and had a miscarriage and seriously problems and now they are telling her she will never have babies :( I know that's probably worst case but still be careful

Hmm interesting, and yea not trusting anything but an implant for birth control, we got pregnant using condoms 😂

Well it lightens the blood flow that you get right after you give birth and then lightens or pushes ovulation and menstruation back farther

If you're ebf it will keep our period away longer and it's supposed to be 98% effective as a birth control but I wouldn't count on it too much.

I plan on breastfeeding as well, does it keep your period away longer as well? Hmm lol

My baby is two months old and I still haven't gotten my period back. I am breastfeeding though.
