🚨Advice🚨 Pierced Mommas: I just took my barbells out of my nipples. I'm 35 weeks pregnant. How long before they close? I know people nurse with their rings in but has anyone taken them out this close to due date? I plan on pumping only when my son arrives but I'm wondering will they be healed enough to take the blow of pumping ever 2 hours to build my supply! Advice please!
I'm so glad you asked this bc with my first pregnancy I took them out around 5mo bc they were too sore all the time and it's been five years between pregnancies and I've had them pierced almost three years this time....but they haven't hurt so I haven't removed them but was wondering when I should bc I plan to breast feed exclusively
I'm a body piercer I left mine in even when I breast feed I took them out and put them back in when my son was done. they will close within week
I know how you feel. It is so strange when they first come out! That feeling went away for me in like a week.
@alexinwonderland, my nipples are flat and it was too much to get my daughter to latch so either I was going to pump with them in or take them out. Now their out and it all seems weird
I could only pump. My son would often choke if I tried to get him to latch.
Yes I do both and milk comes out the holes @thencomesbabyj
@marleiismama, have u breast fed/pumped with them like that?
Mines haven't closed I had them years ago and they're still open
@kparis, it's been almost two years for me. I hope they close before he comes
@alexinwonderland, so u pumped ok? That's just weird to know the holes are still open and milk comes out all of the ducts. Thanks!
I had mine pierced for 5 years then took them out when I was about 8 months pregnant with my son. I pumped mostly. I put them back in about 3 or 4 years later and they went in like butter.
Breastfeeding moms: so I am planning on going on a 3 day vacation with my hubby & a bunch of friends to Catalina in May, (my baby won't be going with us) and I do not wanna be pumping and dumping every 2 hours out there.. so if I don't pump or breastfeed for 3-4 days, will my milk supply drop significantly? 😩😩 & I don't know how I'm gonna deal with the engorgement pain if I can't find time to pump out there.

(Thread Closed) So this just happened. Deffinatly wasn't trying. Only been with my boyfriend almost 7 months. I already have a 4 year old son. Oh man. I'm shaking. Literally freaking out. 1 day before period.
(Thread Closed) Calling all Bad Moms!
You know you are out there!
Breast pump covered by insurance
I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
@kermi86, glad I could help
