I'm a cosmetologist and I've colored plenty of pregnant women's hair, and have colored my own hair plenty of times. Somehow there's this misconception that the hair color can get to the baby, I've even heard that it can change the baby's hair color!! the only problem you might encounter is the color will not be as vibrant or it might change a bit. it's safe don't use ammonia free just because it says ammonia free doesn't mean it does have some worse chemical In there that makes the color react. just do it in a ventilated area.
