Okay. I'm thinking about either the Mirena IUD or Nexplanon implant. How have other moms experienced been with both?

I have mirena and I hate it.

Yeah, I'm not pregnant. That's great. But I've been bleeding heavily non-stop since the 27th of October when I got it in. And I'm talking heavy. I'm getting it pulled out. Break outs all over my skin like I'm some prepubescent teenager all over again, mood swings, weight gain, no sex drive. Not to mention I'm anemic and my doctor recommended I get it anyway, knowing this, and I've been losing so much blood that it's making me sick. I don't recommend this to anyone. I know women who like their iuds, but this just isn't for me.

I'm getting the nexplanon cause iuds freak me out lol

I liked the Nexplanon but after a year and some months, I just started bleeding and it wouldn't stop. had to get it out.

I have the IUD I love it. had a few issues in the beginning with hubby hitting the strings got them cut no longer a issue and it took my body 4 months to adjust to it. but other than that it's been great. no weight gain or anything like that.

I have the IUD and it's amazing. only thing about it is when they out it in. you bleed for a month and after that you don't even really have a period anymore its great. :)

I hate nexplanon & heard nothing good about the IUD
