*rant* So my daughter was born with extra digits on each of her hands (hereditary from my fathers side) and my mother feels the need to point it out to every family member and friend as soon as they come to the hospital to visit. On top of the she keeps joking well maybe she had a twin... So it would be funny to you if I was pregnant with twins and lost one? 🤔 I'm confused. Idk maybe I'm just being sensitive.

I agree with you but you're not being sensitive and your mom is being cruel. Lost of people have some recessive gene that's considered unfavorable but your mom pointing it out might be a way of coping even though it's unnecessarily inappropriate.

That's very inappropriate of her. You need to let her know that you find that rude. Your baby is perfect and even with a tiny flaw like that, she's beautiful. If your mom contines this, it cam affect the way your baby portrays herself when she's older.
