How long will doctor's wait to induce you once you go past your due date? I've been having a very…

I know I'm not past due but I'm just curious because doctor told me to not be surprised if I go past because this is my first baby.

Usually just to 41 weeks they won't let you go passed.

You can go up to 42 if you want too, 41 is typically when they will try though.

No more than 2 weeks past but they usually don't wait that long especially if you ask your doctor not to

mine wouldn't let me go past 41 weeks

mine is inducing at 39wks....

@babycasey, Can you request to be induced a little early?

@weslexis going past 40 weeks is already a risk that your placenta will start dying that's why they usually induce at 41 but will let you go to 42 weeks. They'll probably check and make sure the baby is okay if you want to go past 41 weeks

not trying to freak you out! I went past 40 and she's one healthy baby! lol

I'm on baby #4 and I've always had the option at 39wks.... doesn't hurt to ask your Dr.... my Dr asked me if it was something I was interested in. I said heck yeah lol
