I am 100 percent against them... in would rather my child bump her head then smother... I am planning on getting the mesh attachments so when she's older she can't stick her arms and legs through but if he's face was up against it she could still breathe..

Yeah this is so true. And I saw those. Are you talking about the breathable bumpers? I thought about one of those also but I don't know if I want any at all after reading so much @thebroadwaybaby16

sorta.. they aren't padded at all, it's just a strip of breathable fabric..

You can always get the mesh one instead it's breathable

Use mesh. It'll stop little feet from getting stuck, and will cushion if baby hits it's head. Maybe not as padded but still won't hurt as bad as if it was bare. I don't trust regular bumpers at all

Yes, definitley mesh, a mom the other day posted a pic of what she woke up to the other morning...she has twins and when she looked into the crib the bumper was over her baby's face! It was a very scary picture to look at, thank the good lord momma had the mesh bumper and baby was 100% okay!

I suggest breathable mesh bumpers if baby gets face up against them they can still breath. they are a little more expensive but worth it
