so frustrated. I brought aven to the drs Monday and he isn't gaining enough weight. apparently I'm not making enough milk. so Dr put me on fenugreek and a power pumping schedule. still not making much. the only difference I'm noticing is I smell like maple syrup. ugh. i just pumped 2oz. that's it!!! I couldn't get any more frustrated right now.

cluster pumping and power pumping are basically same thing... and I'm pumping my life away here... and drinking so much water im practically drowning.... and yea baby makes a lot of wet diapers. deff more wet diapers then what my doctor told me to watch for. and doctor wanted me on fenugreek but if I don't see a change soon I'm getting off it. I'll look up that page on Fb. gonna go make oatmeal cookies now...and thanks for all the advice ladies. @mimi00 @amber.s95 @santistevanmommie @steph11 @princessvictoria

the maple syrup smell I'd from fenugreek. pumping doesn't show supply it shows how well you respond to a pump. how many wet diapers a day? some babies take longer to gain weight

Lots of oatmeal and water. Make oatmeal cookies I did that and could see a difference in my supply in 24hrs. And yes pump pump pump. After every feeding if you can

When my son was born his jaundice got really high and had to be admitted. Since I was breastfeeding and he had to be under lights 24/7, the nurses gave me the option to continue breastfeeding him or if I wanted to pump out my breast milk. Since I wanted him home as soon as possible I opted for pumping. They had me pump every 2 hours and I've stuck to that routine.. worst decision I made because now my son is used to the bottle and its difficult to get him to accept my breast again. But just keep pumping every 2-3 hours for minimum 10 maximum 30 minutes. Your supply will definitely come in.

I've heard that fenugreek can actually dry up your supply sometimes. I'm part of a breastfeeding group on Facebook and the admins are very helpful and know what they're talking about. its called breastfeeding, the struggles we've overcome. if you have a Facebook you should join it. you can get some good advice there about increasing your supply.

I read that if you cluster pump it builds your supply. Pump for 10 minutes on and off for an hour straight. Like pump for 10 minutes, then take a 10 minute break, pump for another 10 so on and so forth for an hour. Mother's Milk tea also helps, oatmeal and lots of water!
