When they're itty bittys it's hard. They really need the sleep. Your profile says your baby is a week so honestly there will be no kind of schedule till about a month. My daughter is just now starting to stay up more during the day and she's 6 weeks. Just keep lights on and windows open during the day. Keep noise as in talk, TV music ect. For day time naps, have baby sleep in something other than the night time bassinet bed whatever. Then during the night, get in a routine of swaddling, bath, boob or bottle. It'll take a couple weeks but it'll get better. I battled with my little one wanting to be awake all night but it just takes time

Newborns are so sleepy. They are really only up for 30-40 min just to eat and then right back to sleep for the first 4 weeks. I would not recommend trying to force your infant to stay awake. You'll end up with an overtired, cranky baby. ссылка
