Anyone else's significant other work third shift? Mine does, and has for almost 3 years. I'm used to it, and sometimes like having the bed to myself but I still hate going to bed without him.

@blessedmom, absolutely girl! and @bri31212 omgosh! That's so good. its nice to have a real man who isn't afraid of taking care of what is his, and what isn't his biologically. Its a good feeling knowing I'm not in this alone again, and that even if God forbid, something happened between the two of us, he would always be there for our kids!
lol @tori.lynn my almost 4yr old sperm donor hasn't been in her life since she was 1 so she knows my fiance as her daddy and no matter what is never take that away from her. He's been really amazing with helping raise her and our son together.

@bri31212, good girl, so happy for you! same here! I have a 4 year old from a previous relationship that he has taken in as his own and IS his daddy. his sperm donor is as sorry as anyone could ever be.... smh. but my man is AMAZING to me & my son!
@katarama, yes! Exactly how I feel too, lol! I miss him holding me and rubbing my back until I fall asleep, but having the whole bed to myself is NICE lol! @blessedmom 7 days a week and 12 hr shifts has to be rough :/ Its 12:27am here and he's just about to go on "lunch" at work.. he'll take his hour lunch and go back and tonight the grocery count was 180,000 with only 2 out of 3 crews working (right here at Thanksgiving) so he probably won't be off until at least 7am or later..
@tori.lynn, I couldn't ask for a better soon to be hubby or Daddy for my family, he sure does the best he can send he isn't afraid to take on side for on weekends either for us, all grateful ❤❤❤❤
I miss him but at the same time I enjoy getting to have the whole bed to myself!
@katarama, Yep, third shift will basically take a day off to recover from the nights of working previous to the day off!

yep! he only works 4 days a week, but even when he's off he's still pretty much nocturnal for the first day and the last so there's really only one day we get to spend together.
my bf doesn't work third shift but he does work from 2:30 in the afternoon till 2:30 in the morning 5 days a week and doesn't wake up until noon so I don't get much time with him with only weekends and I don't like being alone at night plus I have two other munchkins that I could really use the extra help with but oh well, gotta make sacrifices for the support we need, right. @tori.lynn
@tori.lynn, we definitely will :) going to the Texans and Saints game in Houston! we r huge football fans :) he's a texans im a saints fan lol it should be fun lol
Yes mine does and has for awhile now and the fact I'm pregnant I hate sleeping without him . Mine works 10pm- 7am
@peanut_baby, y'all enjoy your time together! Its tough ... especially working opposite shifts :/ Right now I'm not working, which sucks but we get a little time together.
Yup mine gets out when I'm going in... sucks cause when I get out he's ready to take a nap and get ready for work.. We r going on a little get away this weekend we really need it..
@mrsschutte1323, I'm glad he will be getting a better schedule girl. :) The beginning of the year my boyfriend and everyone on his shift are supposed to be getting a better schedule so I have my fingers crossed! lol. @ran24 you stay strong too! #ThirdShiftProbz lol
mine works at a magazine factory. makes very good money but the hours are si long. he sleeps till 5 and leaves at 520 and it's like love you bye. it sucks. I understand how you feel, stay strong girl @tori.lynn
Around the holidays hours are ridiculous, lol. The checks are nice but mannnnn, it sucks being away from him. Lol.
Yep mine does. 6 days a week but he's getting switched on Sunday to 12 hour night so he's only gonna be working 3-4 days a week. I can't wait. I miss him so much and I hateeeeeee sleeping alone.
@ran24, mine doesn't have a specific time to get off :( He clocks in at 7:30pm, and has to leave around 6:50pm because we stay a good ways away from his job. This week and last week he's been getting off at like 7am and later ... sometimes a little earlier. :/ He sleeps until about 2-3. but that still doesn't allow much time together. He works at Food Lion Distribution selecting grocery orders for the stores.
mines too. I hate it especially since we are getting our own place and I don't like being alone especially at night.
story Of My Life. he works 6pm to 6am and sleeps all day. time with him is very slim. I miss him every night. @tori.lynn

some of the stuff I see on here, like rooms, beds, houses, etc is disgusting! you claim you're a sahm and your husband works hard, then help him out and let him come home to a clean house, bed, sheets, etc🤷🏻♀️
