At the fire station learning how to properly install my car seat and they keep getting called out on runs. Definitely don't mind, am just thankful for car seat safety techs who can teach me how to keep Baby D safe. This was the last thing to do before she arrives. Only 14 days till my due date!

14 days until your due date?! You are almost there! I disappear for a few weeks and time seems to be flying by. Good luck!

No It doesn't give me that option. They hold classes at my local community building

@lilanne1927, yeah I was shocked that there are so many techs here in Little Rock, since we're not a huge city. I've been doing my own research on proper install, but not through any classes. Is your class online by any chance? I'd love to take a class!

That's awesome. Most places don't have many people which is one reason I'm taking classes.

@mommyanddude, @lilanne1927 Hi ladies! Luckily, I did my research and found a certified tech at a fire station about 5 mins from my house. I was surprised to find so many techs in my area. I've actually got an appt tomorrow with another tech to go over installation again because I wanted a second opinion and to make sure I was shown correctly both times. But good looking out on making sure I find a certified tech, car seat safety is a top priority!

Yes not all fire stations and police officers are certified but if you look in the right place in your area their should be a tech available. Just in case you want a second opinion

I'm not sure if you know this, but most fire and police stations don't have a CPST on staff and don't know about carseat safety. I didn't know if yours did or not, or if that was important to you. but a lot of mom assume the fire department will know about proper carseat safety and follow what they say when their practices may be outdated, then they find out at a later date that the fire station was wrong and they are upset about that. so I just wanted to warn you incase you didn't know.
