I have seen most people take them out around 22 weeks because it can stretch and completely tear a whole through. I imagine that is very very painful and it doesn't grow back together. the maternity ones don't get caught on things and are more stretchy

I left mine in almost my whole pregnancy. I had to take it out around 35 weeks cause I was getting to big but id recommend the maternity ones cause my hole is all stretched out now
