I am worried about the amount on injections that they try and push on you when you're pregnant, and in the first few months of my babies life. are they all necessary? it's freaking me out a lot. I have let the midwife test my blood, but I really don't want any vaccines put into my vulnerable body or my babies when it's born. I haven't had many injections myself. only had about 3 when I was little. does anybody else feel like this or is it just me? the doctors can not tell me what's in the vaccines, or give me any information on them, other than leaflets they keep. its brought me to tears so many times.

I'd rather my baby have the vaccines than get seriously ill...the vaccines are to help protect the baby against things that can kill them. I've had all the vaccines I was meant to have as a baby, child and teenager and haven't had any bad reactions to them. I'm getting my Anti-D injection next week which is very important. You only need it if you are Rhesus negative though. Xxx

They're necessary. Trust me. They aren't pushing them on you. They're giving you the option but in all honesty they're necessary. The infections etc that the injections are protecting you from are far worse to have than the injections themselves. Flu may not kill you but it can harm your unborn baby. Same as whooping cough won't make you sick as such but can cause the baby to be sick. So it's best to have them all. Of course that's just my opinion and I'm very much pro-vaccinate. Simply because I've had all the jabs when I needed them throughout childhood and adulthood and I am glad to have done so. The 1 year jabs are the most important as that is MMR. My cousin missed his for whatever reason and ended up with mumps (part of the MMR) and his mom was told he's lucky he isn't infertile now as in men, that infection can cause infertility as it makes their scrotums swell up. I know blood tests and needles are never anyone's favourite thing, they're necessary. X
