Did any of you bring snacks with you to the hospital? I've heard of people bringing candy to suck on…

I heard of this also! but when I had my son they wouldn't even let me drink water and my family kept bringing in candy, Chinese food, burger king, Starbucks and I couldn't even have a sip or bite of anything or the doctors would get so mad

I brought power bars

I know they let you have ice chips

@xolovingisaiah, they do that because if for any reason she has to have an emergency csection .. If there's food in her system it can affect the anesthesia and things can go wrong and it would be the Drs fault for allowing the mom to eat

She said it messes with the epidural I've never heard of that before but maybe it does that too but I know most doctors won't let you eat incase you have to have a csection that they didn't plan for

you should have a large meal but they let you have ice chips usually so I don't see why hard candy would be any different call and ask the L&D floor or you physician to see if you can

Nope i was only aloud to eat ice chips😔even yesterday when i was in L&D for 6 hrs they didn't let me eat nothing just water...like some one said up thier👆🏻you need to be prepared incase an emergency c sec....but after labor they let you eat lol i stuffed my face like no tomorrow kinda hard to be in labor so long with no food😋

The ice will help, ask for ice lol. It was my bestfriend
